CHURCH HILL – Mary Lena Williams Lamb, 87, passed away on November 14, 2018 at Elmcroft of Kingsport.

She was born in Hawkins County & raised in the Stanley Valley Community. She attended Big Creek Elementary & was a graduate of Surgoinsville High School. Mary worked at Kingsport Press until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee & Nannie Looney; sister, Naomi Lawson; husband, Charles Albert Lamb; 1st husband, Charlie Williams Jr.

Mary is survived by her son, Charlie Williams III and wife Connie of Fall Branch; nephew, Dennis Lawson of Sneedville; and her loving pet, Sadie.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Lawson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 17 at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM to go in procession.

Special thank you to all the caregivers, doctors, and staff to Elmcroft of Kingsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department in Mary’s memory.
