Minnie Pearl Cradic CHURCH HILL- Minnie Pearl Cradic, 98, passed away on Wednesday (January 30, 2013) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She had lived most of her life in Hawkins County after she moved from Hancock County when she was 8 years old. She was the oldest member of Elm Springs United Methodist Church and belonged to the Surgoinsville Senior Citizens group. Ms. Cradic loved quilting, traveling, and sewing. She was very delicate with all of her needle work.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Mary Gibson, daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Worley Barrett, brothers; Lewis and Bill Gibson, sisters; Della and Hattie Collins, Mattie Price, Doshie Gibson, and Lizzie Fields, and her ex-husband, James Cradic. She is survived by her sons; James (Jim) and Shirley Cradic of Church Hill, Charles Ray and Ann Cradic of Navarre, FL, daughters; Evelyn and Emmett Venoy of Mt. Carmel, Phyllis and Gerald Cardwell of Church Hill, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill and anytime at the home of her daughter, Phyllis Cardwell. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Regina Shelton and Rev. Roy Fowler officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Elm Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary bearers will be Joe Ramsey and Danny Hurd.
