I just found out today of his passing and offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Tate was one heck of a guy and I thought very highly of him. He substituted for my Mother, Margie Way, several times and I had him as a substitute under many other teachers as well. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face, was well dressed, and very professional. After graduation I would stop by to see Mom periodically and if I saw him or he saw me we'd always take time to have a nice little chat. He will be greatly missed. Rest easy my friend! Jeremy

Chic was such a special person, always smiling and eagerly reaching out to shake your hand. Always a pleasure to walk into church and see chic where he would ask how we were doing, followed by a hug. Cannot say how much chic has touched my life. He would come to the nursing home where my mom was and would visit with us. My mom would always ask about chic. Rewards are many in heaven for chic. God Bless his soul.

In an age of superficial relationships, Chic was my friend. My real friend. Always smiling. Always encouraging. Always ready to joke or laugh at a joke. A true man's man and a role model to me. So, one last time until we meet again, . . . . . Well Chickado, you lucky dog you, you've REALLY got it made now kid!
