CLIFFORD LEE BOWLIN Cliff Bowlin 74, of Kingsport, passed away Monday (July 7, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins and Sullivan Counties and was a member of Morissette Chapel, Rogersville, TN. He was a graduate of Church Hill High School and served four years in the United States Air Force. Cliff was retired as Regional Manager from Dollar General Stores. Cliff was fun-loving and enjoyed people. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Darren Lee Bowlin, parents, Willard Hugh and Dovie Lawson Bowlin, brother, Ronald H. Bowlin, brother-in-law, Edward C. Christian. He is survived by his sister, Fay Christian; brother, Ray Bowlin and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Thelma Bowlin, all of Mount Carmel; nephews, Curtis Bowlin and companion, Melinda, Scott Dorton and wife, Cathy, Jason Dorton and wife, Deana; niece, Angi Marshall and husband, Brad; special great nephews, Ryan Marshall, Chris Bowlin and wife, Amanda, Ben, Luke and Eli Dorton. The family would like to thank all the people who tried to make Cliff comfortable during his illness. It was Cliff’s wish to be cremated. The family will receive friend from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Elder Fred Gilreath officiating.
