Church Hill, TN

Floyd T. Manis, age 77, of Church Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Manis was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was retired from Holliston Mills with 40 years of service. He enjoyed his Harley motorcycle and loved to farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orval & Maxie Manis and his brothers, Pete Manis and Conner Manis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Elmina Manis of the home, sons, Robert E. Manis of the home, Floyd Doug Manis of Church Hill, grandchildren, Karissa Winstead and husband Brian, Jordan Douglas Manis and wife, Mae. Great grandchildren, Blakley Winstead and Elend Manis, brothers, Orval Manis and wife, Sandra, Robert Elbert Manis and wife Barbara and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Friday at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted 7 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Truman Ferguson and Rev. Teddy Webb officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday at the McPheeter’s Bend Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 AM Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
