Frank Junior Weems CHURCH HILL – Frank Junior Weems, 90, passed away Sunday (March 9, 2014) at Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center following an extended illness. Mr. Weems was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a charter member of Lyons Park Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Holston Defense. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 ½ years, Katie Kanipe Weems; his parents, Rome and Roeana Weems; brothers, Ray and Paul Weems; sisters, Leona Brown and Mabel Weems. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Weems, Bristol; Ronnie and Marleen Weems, Church Hill; his daughters, Connie and Rev. James Adams, Church Hill; Louise and Ron Collier, Church Hill; grandchildren, Kim Anderson, Kevin Adams, Josh Weems, Brad Adams, Rex Weems, Jonathan Collier and Chris Collier; great grandchildren, Emma Adams, Lauren Adams, Zoe Adams, Bailey Adams, Alleigh Adams, Anslee Adams, Aubrey Adams, Makaila Collier, Meghan Collier, Maddie Collier, Ellie Collier, Haven Weems, Summer Dean, Holly Dean, Parker Dean, Selena Anderson and Abby Anderson; sister, Ella Mae Hicks, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews; special aunt, Mary Ruth Crawford; special friend, Gale Fletcher, and special caregivers, Sally Shaver and Maggie Ward. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at his residence. Services will be conducted Friday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Adams officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery, those desiring to attend are asked to meet at the Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Pallbearers will be Brad Adams, Kevin Adams, Josh Weems, Jonathan Collier, Chris Collier and Rex Weems. Honorary bearers will be Paul Sellers, Gale Fletcher, David White, Harold Shoemaker, and Kyle Housewright.
