John 3:16 Mount Carmel, TNGary Ragle, age 73, of Mount Carmel passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Ragle was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and attended the Bradshaws Chapel Baptist Church.Gary was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam from 1964 to 1966. He retired from Holliston Mills as a color mixer in the plastic department.He is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Ragle and Lelia Gentry Ragle, sisters, Shirley Bise, Betty Pippin, Elizabeth Ragle, brothers, Gene Ragle, Jim Ragle and Terry Ragle.He left behind his loving wife of 46 ½ years, Linda Stacy Ragle, Son, Brian Keith Ragle and friend, Scott Gressak of Massachusetts, daughter, Sheri Bowen and fiancé, Marty Jones of Mount Carmel, grandchildren, Heather Denise Bowen, Tyler Scott Bowen and great granddaughter, Evelyn Joyce Brock. Brothers, Wallace Ragle, John Ragle and Larry Ragle all of Mount Carmel. Several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Funeral services will be conducted 7 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ed McLain and Rev. Steve Wade officiating.Military graveside service will be conducted 1 PM Tuesday at the Mount Mitchell Church Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Post # 3 / 265.
