ROGERSVILLE – George Franklin Reeves, 74, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
George was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and attended Christian Bend Missionary Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George, and Isa Short Reeves; daughter, Julie Shelton; and grandson, Malcom Reeves.
George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Reeves; children, Guy Reeves, Jason Reeves (Crystal), and Jessica Reeves; grandchildren, Chris Shelton, Mason Reeves, Mikey Kilmon, Isaac Shelton, Camron Kilmon, Shalia Davis, Mathias Reeves, Chelsea Shelton, Malaki Reeves, and Jayden; sister, Willie Fenwick; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Casey Skelton officiating. The burial will follow to Christian Bend Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Clayton Housewright, Jeff Coffey, Kyle Tustin, Michael Dunn, Ethan Brown, and Brandon Tustin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Will Davidson.
