Church Hill, TNGeorge Ray Osborne, age 67, of Church Hill, passed from this life on Sunday, July 31, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. George was born on January 28, 1949 in Kingsport, he had spent majority of his life in Hawkins County, and was a veteran of the United States Army.He is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas Ray and Nellie Mae Osborne, brothers; Carl, Grady and Larry Osborne, sisters; Elizabeth Hutson, Brenda Lange and nephew; Jerry Taylor.Survivors include his sisters; Margie Crawford, Mary Runyon, Deloris Short and Jeanette Clark, his loving pet companion who went everywhere with him, his beloved Traveler Osborne and several special nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with special music.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Wellmont Hospice and the staff of the Holston Valley Hospital for their loving and compassionate care for their brother.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
