My deepest condolences for Hippies family and friends. He was my bus driver for several years. He was the coolest bus driver, he installed stereo speakers on our bus so we rocked to and from school. I was in an accident with a few friends and Hippie just happened to be one of the EMS’s to respond. I was hurt and scared and it was so comforting fir him to be there. He was the only bus driver who’s ride was a Harley with Bull horns on it too! And he was always so giving to the community. The world is a better place him having been here! His presence will be missed.

To Hippy’s family I am so very sorry for your loss. Hippy was one of a kind and he will never be forgotten. He was my bus driver when I was younger I can’t remember the bus number but it was when the bridge broke in Surgoinsville and we had to take the back way to school on Longs Bend Road. Hippy would always play the radio and I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. I still tell my kids about how he let us have a water fight on the last day of school and parked the bus in Chase Sizemore’s driveway and let bring the water hose on. R.I.P Hippy my thoughts and prayers are with your family. You will always be loved and cherished

Hippy was my bus driver for most of elementary and middle school. It was sorta a claim to fame to have Hippy as your bus driver. He knew how to keep us in line and still be cool at the same time. I have shared many memories of Hippy with my family. He was a wonderful man. He had a heart for kids, and that means a lot when you are growing up. He will be greatly missed. I am very sorry for your loss.
