Imogene Leota Ratledge CHURCH HILL- Imogene Leota Ratledge, 78, passed away on Tuesday (March 4, 2014) at Holston Valley Medical Center.  A lifelong resident of Hawkins County, she was a member of Amis Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Phipps Bend Free Will Baptist Church. While growing up, her family gave her the nickname, “Tom”. She was a great supporter of her late husband, Rev. Hugh Dean Ratledge, confirming that behind every great man is a great woman. Imogene was very family oriented and proud of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hugh Dean Ratledge, parents, Dee and Mollie Cooper, grandchild, Tara, several brothers, sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Housewright and her husband, Roger, Tammy Ward and her husband, Marty, brothers; Haynes Cooper, Roy Cooper and his wife, Kay, Robert Cooper and his wife, Betty, sister, Mary Lena Altom, grandchildren; Zachary and Kayla Peters, Kelsey and Rylie Housewright, step grandchildren, Raven and Rheanna Duncan, and Rylie Ward, sister-in-law, Betty Cooper, and other special family members. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Castle officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday at Bethel Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 P.M. Pallbearers will be Darren Christian, Neil Page, Kevin Cooper, Tom Looney, Sean Chambers, and Clarence Conant. Honorary bearers will be, Roy, Haynes, Robert, and Fayne Cooper.
