Isaac Fansler Johnson Funeral Home Church Hill, TN CHURCH HILL – Isaac Dimmon Fansler, 84, passed away Thursday (January 2, 2014) after a long illness. Mr. Fansler was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Pink Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Johnson-Hilliard, Inc. where he worked for many years as a welder. He was particularly proud of his craftsmanship as a welder. In his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and he leaves behind handcrafted works that his family will enjoy for generations. He also cherished spending time with his youngest granddaughter, Sarah who he loved a bushel and a peck. He was a member of Clay Masonic Lodge # 386. His name was Isaac and he brought laughter and joy to all who met him. He will be sorely missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lofton and Lillie Hensley Fansler, his brother, Paul Fansler and sister Virgie Falon. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Church Fansler, Church Hill; his son Daryl and wife Phyllis, Knoxville; his daughter, Janice Fansler, Gallatin, TN; granddaughters, Sarah Fansler and Amy Cox of Knoxville and Alison Mullen of Greeneville, NC; five great grandchildren; brothers, James and wife, Dorothy, Orville and wife, Pauline and Audley and wife, Faye; sister, Stella Pierson and husband, Jim; sisters-in-law, Geneva Fansler and Phyllis Taylor and husband, Earl; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks go to Phyllis and Earl who cared for his every need for the past several years and whom he held especially dear. Calling hours are from 1:00 to 2:30 P. M. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence. A celebration of his life will be Saturday at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Kyle Falin, Jr. officiating. A Masonic Memorial Service conducted by Clay Lodge # 386 will follow the funeral service. Burial will follow in Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Fansler, Randy Fansler, Warren Fansler, Mike Fansler, Jerry Fansler, Avery Fansler and Jack Falin.
