ROGERSVILLE – Jacob Light, 43, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness.
Jacob was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a disabled truck driver and enjoyed looking at old cars. He loved his dog TJ dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Light; maternal grandparents, Robert and Rose Minton; paternal grandparents, Chester, Sr. and Sarah Light; and second set of grandparents, Lawrence and Nettie Anderson.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Linda Minton Light Lovell; brothers, James E. Light II and Jason Light (Melissa); nephew, Matthew Holden Light; niece, Ashely Rush (Cody); great nieces, Lilly, Lola, and Evelyn Rush; second parents, Danny and Ruby Anderson; special cousin “brother”, Danny Anderson II (Amber); special cousin “sister”, April Anderson Hamilton (Jordan); step mother, Pam Crawford; step sister, Jessica Light Gibbons (Stacy); numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ed McLain and Rev. Jerry Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
