Jessica Marie Manis, age 31, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a loving mother, and her son was the light of her life. She loved her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather’s, Herman Hickman and Melvin Manis. Her great grandparents, Earl Greer and Cecil Greer, Earnest Burton, and Kate Burton.
Survivors include her son, Hayden Manis of Church Hill, mother, Patricia and Anthony Housewright of Church Hill, father, Jeff Manis and Lisa Carver of Surgoinsville. Step-sister’s, Sarah Carroll, Amber Moles, Patricia Carver, Crystal Carver and step-brother, Bryan Carver. Grandmothers, Nancy Hickman and Mildred Manis. Aunts and uncles, Ron and Wendie, Doug and Deloris, Marty, Sharon, Roger and Phillip. Several cousins and a very special friend Shondell Pitts.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 7 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Heath Smith and Rev. Bill Linkous officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 PM Sunday at the McPheeters Bend Cemetery with Doug Hickman, Ron Hickman, Landon Hickman, Weston Hickman, Jacob Hickman and Bryan Carver serving as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 Pm Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
