BOONE, NC – Jonathan David Lane, 42, born on Dec. 29, 1977 went to be with his Lord on November 21, 2020. He was born in Heidelburg, Germany and grew up in Church Hill graduating from Volunteer High School in 1996. His love for the mountains took him to Boone, NC where he lived with his family. Jonathan worked at Daniel Boone Inn and was often requested by customers for his fun-loving personality. He attended Caldwell Community College and was a certified welder. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and anyone that knew Jonathan knew what a big heart he had. He loved to talk, he loved his family, and he loved football. He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal and Dow Lane, Joyce and Jim Cooper, Ruby and Cecil Collier, Rev. Cecil Collins; fathers-in-law, Danny and Doug Charlton.

He is survived by his wife, Clarissa D. Lane; sons, Cooper Lane, Brayden Lane, and Noah Botkin; daughter, Keylee Botkin; grandson, Myles; mother, Janis Collier (Keith); father, David Lane (Susan); mother-in-law, Susie Charlton; grandmother, Shirley Collins; brothers, Colby Collier (Mandi) and Justin Lane (Megan); sister, Julie Lane Carrier (Billy); sister-in-law, Christy Arnold; several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Pastor Truman Ferguson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Christy Arnold, Noah Botkin, Billie Carrier, Colby Collier, Brayden Lane, Justin Lane, and Casey Hagood. Honorary pallbearers will be James Lifford and Cooper Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home to start a college fund for his son, Cooper.
