Very sorry for your loss to the family. When I moved to Tennessee from California Mr. Southam was my childhood elementary teacher at Church Hill and he so was nice to me helped me with my transition to a new place. I will never forget how nice he was to me. Praying for your family during this difficult time.

Learning of Larry's passing was one of the saddest days of my life. Larry and I were good friends and shared many good times and adventures during our High School and College years in and around the Tamaqua area. Whether it was an overnight trip to his relatives in the Poconos or some other place in the area we always had a good time without getting into any trouble. I look back on those days with great fondness and cherish the times we enjoyed together. While the frequency of our contact lessened after Larry made Tennessee his home, we did manage to share an occasional phone call over the years, with the last one being just within the last couple of years. He had been on my mind recently and I was intending to reach out to him. I wish now, that I had been more proactive about it. I am deeply saddened by his passing and will truly miss Larry. To Mary Nile, Barry, Rich and the rest of Larry's family we offer you all of our deepest and heartfelt condolences and sympathy. Take comfort that Larry is at peace now and is in a better place free from pain and discomfort. May Larry forever walk with the Lord and share in his abundance of Blessings. Rest in Peace My Friend. You will be forever missed. Joel & Candy Johns

I worked with Larry for several years, he was a positive role model for so many young peoples lives. There was never a student that didn't get to go on a field trip or do without anything, he didn't make a difference in his students they were treated the same. He would always tell me, don't worry Wilma I got it. It was my honor to work with you Larry Southam. I'm so sorry for your families loss prayers going up for you all.

So very saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Southam family. Though we lost a connection after high school those Tamaqua school and UMC memories are everlasting. To Richard and Barry, we especially pray for comforting memories in the days ahead. As an educator he surely touched many lives with his genuine goodness. We will miss our classmate. Kevin and Marilyn Young
