CHURCH HILL – Mary Maxine Wallen, 64, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2019 following a brief illness. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Mary was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Katherine and Irvin Reed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eckel Wallen; son, Ivan Wallen; brothers, Edward and Kenneth Reed; two grandsons, Joshua Wallen and Jeremy Wallen; and her nephew, Mike Guy.
Surviving are her sons, Jonathan Wallen and wife Heather, Chris Wallen and April, Earl Wallen, and Jeff Wallen; daughter, Deborah Pressley; grandsons, Payton Salyer and Luke Wallen; along with many nieces, nephews, and several other friends and family members.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 at Johnson Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill, TN. Graveside services will be follow at Jones Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Johnny Wallen, Payton Salyer, Earl Wallen, Shannon Ball, Chris Wallen, and April Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnson Arrowood Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
