Oma Lee Crawford SURGOINSVILLE- Oma Lee Crawford, 88, passed away on Monday (April 21, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Habersham County, Georgia but had lived most of her life in Hawkins County. Mrs. Crawford was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to work in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Rex Crawford, parents, Jasper Daniel and Naomi Smith Holcomb, granddaughter, Tonya Lee Cooper, brother, Homer Holcomb, sisters, Mae Knight, Pauline Rogers, and Pearl Allen, all of Goergia. She is survived by her son, James Crawford and his wife, Glenda of Rogersville, daughters, Joan Cooper and her husband, Fayne, Brenda Amis Winstead and her husband, Jackie, Bonnie Wood and her husband, Mack, all of Surgoinsville, brothers, Jasper Daniel Holcomb of Cornelia, GA, and Lawrence Holcomb of Atlanta, GA, sister, Ethel Bristol of Sautee, GA, grandchildren, Scott Crawford and his wife, Emily, Todd Amis, Brad Cooper, Marty Wood and his wife, Katrina, step grandson, Tyler Winstead, great grandchildren, Garrett, Clay, and Levi Crawford, Magan and Jacob Amis, Molly and Dylan Cooper, and Jacob Wood, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Freddy Freeman and Rev. Brian Burchfield officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Oakdale Baptist Church cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the fellowship hall at Oakdale Baptist Church, 1937 Carters Valley Road, Surgoinsville, TN 37873.
