Rogersville- Mr. Roy Thomas (Tommy) Walker, age 59, of 744 Mt. View Rd., Rogersville passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002, at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Walker was a native of Clinchport, VA and had lived in Hawkins County since 1964. He was employed by the Sullivan County School System with 25 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is proceeded in death by one son, Tommy Lynn Walker, Paternal Grandparents, Ross and Molly Walker, Maternal Grandparents, John and Loudema Rhoton.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Lucille (Lucy) Crawford Walker of the home. Parents, Roy and Cora Lee Rhoton Walker of Clinchport, VA. 3 Daughters and Brother-In-Laws, Patricia and Billy Berry of Clinchport, VA. Betty and Chuck Funderburg of Tipp City, Ohio, and Linda and Hal Reminger of Bluff City, Tn. 1 Brother and Sister-In-Law, Jerry and Janice Walker of Kingsport. Mother-In-Law, Lula Crawford of Mount Carmel. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of his parents in Clinchport, Va. And his Mother-In-Law, Lula Crawford, 146 Birch Lane, Mount Carmel.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowser Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Hawkins County Color Guard.

Pallbearers will be, Alvis Arnold, Alex Arnold, Douglas Head, Michael Gilbert, Steve Harless, Jonathan Taylor, and Jeff Walker.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tonya Harless.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the American Heart Association and to the Christine Laguardia Phillips Cancer Center.
