CHURCH HILL – Shirley Joann Short, January 5, 1942 – April 20, 2020, thank you, Lord, for holding me and carrying me all these years
Daughter of Lester and Mary Sellers Dykes, granddaughter of Carson and Roxie Jones Dykes, step grandmother Lurlie Jones Dykes and Lowery and Pearl MacinTurff Sellers, husband Audley Short all deceased.
She is survived by her sons, Bryan Short (Cristina), Eddie Short (Linda), Joey Short, and Jerome Short (Crystal); daughter, Darlene Franklin (Doug); grandchildren, Matthew Franklin, BJ Short, Jalen Short, Zeke Short, Odessa Short, Chelsi Brightside, and Griffin Short; great grandchildren, Scarlet Short, Jayden Mitchell, and Cayden Mitchell; brothers, Larry and Pat Dykes, Charles Dykes; sisters, Sue Durham and Phyllis Dyer; several nieces and nephews.
Joann’s wishes were not to have a service.
