ROGERSVILLE – Thelma Martha Ann Wallen, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.
Thelma was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She attended church at The House of Prayer. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wallen; parents, Asa and Trissie Light Gilbert.
Thelma is survived by her children, Frankie Light (J.D.), Robbie Wallen (Robin), Bobby Wallen (Kathy), Edith Flanary (Alan), Patsy Wiggins (Joe); along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clifford Cole officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 23 at Yankee Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
