CHURCH HILL – Virgie Mae Jobe, 88, Went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2020 after an extended illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jobe; daughter, Christine “Chris” Hackler; parents, Charlie and Tennessee Simpson; and sister, Virginia and Ruth.
Virgie is survived by her grandsons, Brian Housewright, Christopher Dewayne Hackler, and Joshua Gene Hackler (Rachel); great grandchildren, Olivia Housewright, Sawyer Housewright, Conner Hackler, Chloe Hackler, David Cole, Cayden Hackler, Brooke Hackler, and Emma Hackler; aunt, Nina Ripley; brother, Terry Simpson; sisters, Lillian Sexton, Barbara Brumett, & Ilene Huffman, brother-in-law, Bobby Jobe (Martha).
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. Cleve Hammonds officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
