CHURCH HILL – Annie J. Mathews Housewright, 75, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord Monday (July 18, 2016) after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Annie was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was of the Baptist faith.She is preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Housewright, her parents, Charlie and Clydie Mowell Mathews, brothers, Tommy, Robert, Joe and Gearl Mathews, sisters, Blanche Ward and Susie Housewright.She is survived by her loving son and main caregiver, Ricky H. Housewright and wife, Donna; step granddaughter, Danielle Yonts and grandson, Hunter Housewright, step great granddaughters; Jaliyah & Jaydah Yonts and step great grandson; Jariah Yonts. Brother-in-law; Jimmy Housewright and wife, Ruth, sister-in-laws; Faye Housewright, Shirley Housewright, Charlotte Mallory and several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Emma Jean Heart and Myrlie Cradic and Amedisys Hospice for all their love and care.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Scalf and Rev. Aaron Price officiating.Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Housewright Cemetery.
