Mount Carmel, TNDonald George Estep, age 64, of Mount Carmel passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following an extended illness.Donald was born in Johnson City and had spent majority of his life in Sullivan and Hawkins County. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict where he received the Purple Heart. He retired from Quebecor and was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church in Kingsport. He was a member of the Clay Lodge #386, Jericho Shrine Temple and the American Legion Post #3.He is preceded in death by his parents; Ed & Ann Collinsworth, brother; John Estep, sister; Pam Ellis and sister-in-law; Andi Estep.Survivors include his wife; Gerena Estep of the home, son; Donavin Estep of the home, son; Kevin Estep of Kingsport, daughter; Noelle Ball of Kingsport, father; George Estep of Florida. Grandchildren; Josh, Aubrey, Kassie and Kristen, brother; Robert Estep, special son; Jackie Long of Church Hill, special niece and husband; Amy and Wayne Elam of Kingsport, mother-in-law; Mary Etta Simpson and father-in-law; James Simpson brother-in-laws; Ronnie Ellis , Dale Simpson and sister-in-law; Brenda Estep. Several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Clay Lodge #386 at 7 pm and funeral services will follow the masonic service with Bro. David Powers officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted 1:45 pm Friday at the Mountain Home national Cemetery in Johnson City with military rites conducted by the American Legion Posts #3/265 Color Guard.
