Dorothy Arnold Wolfe died Thursday, December 10 at The Village in Allandale. She was 100 years old. Those preceding her in death were her husband, Bertram Wolfe, daughter Carolyn Wolfe, and her parents Dr. William Arnold and Lida Moore Arnold. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death: Grace Arnold, Blanche Click (Cooper), Kyle Arnold (Margaret), Marjorie Begley (Claude), Wayne Arnold (Mary), and Joyce Ketron (Gardner). She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a special caregiver, Linda Riner.Dorothy received her education at Church Hill High School, Carson – Newman College, and ETSU. She taught in the Hawkins County School System for 42 years. Her schools included: Christian Bend, McPheeter’s Bend, Goshen, Lee’s, Grange Hall and Mt. Carmel.She was an active member of Grange Hall United Methodist Church. She served as organist/pianist for 60 years.The funeral service will be at Grange Hall Methodist Church on Saturday, December 12 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
