KINGSPORT- Dylan Wayne Ferguson, 18, passed away on Friday (January 9, 2015).Dylan was a senior at Sullivan South High School and was a Lieutenant Colonel in the JROTC. He was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and scheduled to leave on September 8 for basic training. Dylan always had a servant’s heart and was a leader, even thru death he was a hero, as he died protecting his sister.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Wayne Larkins.He is survived by his parents, John and Janet Ferguson, brother, Austin Lee, sisters, Amber and Shianna, grandmothers, Sharon Larkins, Shirley A. Hall, and Sandra Sheffield, grandfathers, Gary Hall and Caroll Sheffield, girlfriend, Charity Haga, honorary grandmother, Teresa Jones, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.The family will receive friends Sunday (January 25, 2015) from 1 to 4:00 P.M. at the Sullivan South High School gymnasium.Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday (January 25, 2015) at the Sullivan South High School Gymnasium with Rev. Bud Beverly officiating.Private Graveside services will be held at a later date.The family requests that no flowers be sent, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
