CHURCH HILL – Edna Mae Amos Knowles, 72 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord Friday (March 13, 2015) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness.Mrs. Knowles was a native of Scott County, Virginia but had spent most of her adult life in Church Hill and was of the Baptist Faith.She is preceded in death by her father, Kyle Amos, her mother, Grace Falin Amos Vincent, daughter, Sharon Bishop and grand daughter, Andrea Bishop; sisters, Nellie Roberts, Shirley Lane, Bobbie Bombailey and Edith Hanson; brother, David Amos.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Lee Knowles; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and George Ramey; Teresa and Marion Ramey; Tammy and Johnny Sensabaugh; sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Gina Knowles and Larry Knowles; 14 grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Mary Morris; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Jewel Amos; Ken and Betty Amos; Jackie and Sandy Amos; Paul and Martha Amos and Tommy Amos; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Services will be conducted Sunday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fred Gillenwater and Rev. Gordon Presley officiating.Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A. M. at Morning Star Cemetery.
