Kathy Marie Cox CHURCH HILL- Kathy Marie Cox, 55, passed away on Wednesday (January 2, 2013) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in Sullivan County but had lived in Hawkins County for most of her life and was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church. Kathy was a member of IBEW Union of Knoxville, TN Local 365. She loved to read her Bible everyday. She also loved her dogs and also to play pool. She is preceded in death by her father, Kelly Cox, brother, Ronald Cox, maternal grandparents, Lydia Blizzard and J. C. Blizzard, paternal grandparents ,Goldie Jenkins and Maurice Cox, and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her mother, Frances Blizzard Cox, brother, Ricky Cox, sisters; Connie Kepler and her husband, Dave, and Donna Paris, nieces and nephews; Sarah Cole, Katherine Fugit, Goldie Paris, Kelly Paris, Trevor McLain, great nieces and great nephews, Piper Cole, Jack Cole, and Kaydynce Paris. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chip McLain officiating. Music will be provided by Chip and Bill McLain. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Old Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 A.M. to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Chip McLain, Jody McLain, Bill McLain, Jerry McLain, David Kepler, and Tim Carter. Honorary bearers will be Kelly Paris and Goldie Paris.
