Ruth Ella Parker Kinkead CHURCH HILL- Ruth Ella Parker Kinkead, 91, passed away on Sunday (March 9, 2014) at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a native of Church Hill, TN. She moved to Yuma, VA in 1967 and returned to Church Hill in 1994. She was a member of Oak Glen Baptist Church, Yuma, VA since 1971. Ms. Kinkead was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company with more than 30 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Kinkead, her parents, Charlie L. Parker and Alice Boyd Parker, five sisters and brother-in-laws; Irene and Henry Munsey, Thelma and Radford Lane, Louise and J.D. Keirsey, Jannett and Bedford Seals, Rebecca (Reba) and Bill Case, two brothers; Charlie L. Parker, Jr. (Charles), George H. Parker, two nephews; David Keirsey and Rev. Elbert Munsey. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws; Brenda and Johnny Seal of Church Hill, Earnestine (Tina) and Kenneth Marshall of Mt. Carmel, one step son, Michael Kinkead and his wife, Dinah of Blountville, six grandchildren; Donna Marshall, Vickie Seal and her husband, Rick Wagner, Aaron Marshall and his wife, Amy of Mt. Carmel, Randall Seal and his wife, Mary, Tony Marshall, and Michael Seal, one step granddaughter, Michael Wendy Steadman and her husband, David, 9 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, 1 step great great grandson, several nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Judy Greenlee. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Sykes officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 P.M. to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Aaron Marshall, Randy Seal, Tony Marshall, Michael Seal, Stanley Case, Jack Case, and Rick Kiersey. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the PCU Nurses, 4th floor nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and all of her wonderful caregivers for their compassion and care for Ms. Kinkead.
