Samuel David Mullins CHURCH HILL- Samuel David Mullins, 71, passed away on Monday (April 28, 2014) at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Mullins was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and attended McFerrin United Methodist Church. He loved farming, which he did until a year ago when he became unable because of his health. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Georgia Mullins, three brothers, Roger, Jeff, and J.W. Mullins, and sister, Ruth Larkin. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Mullins, two sons, Timothy Mullins and his wife, Mary, and Anthony Mullins, sister, Shelby Mullins, grandchildren, Allie and Amy Mullins, Cheyenne, Chayna, and Luke Mullins, sister in law, Celeste Wagner and her husband, Ron, brother in law, Tim Simpson and his wife, Elaine. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Regina Shelton officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M. Pallbearers will be Timothy Mullins, Anthony Mullins, Luke Mullins, Zachary Sword, F.D. Derrick, and Timmy Simpson. Special thanks to Becky, Kristina, and Carolyn from Wellmont Hospice.
