Church Hill, TNThomas Long, age 89, of Church Hill, passed away at 12:15 am on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy illness.He was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was retired from the AFG Glass Plant after 25 years of service. He attended the Hope Center Church.He is preceded in death by his wife; Maggie Long, son; William Thomas Long, daughter; Barbara Bly and his parents; Thomas Long, Sr. and Mandy Phillips Long.Survivors include his daughters; Irene Richmond, Helen Long, Marlene Richmond and husband, Roy, Romelda Moore. Son; Danny Long and Alisa, grandchildren; Laynette Alley and husband, Reggie, Ivan Bly and wife, Edith, Randy Moore and wife, Tenille, Keith Richmond and wife, Kelly, Roy Richmond and Christina and Ryan Moore. Great grandchildren; Prennis Alley, Karter, Karson and Kameron Richmond, Camila & Rylan Moore, Tay Shaun & Tamara Moore, Alex and Nickolas Bly and Shakira Long.Calling hours are from 1 to 2 pm Friday at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mensor and Rev. Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Hill Memory Gardens.
