CHURCH HILL- Rev. Donald Wayne Bombailey, 66, passed away on Friday Dec. 29, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Donald was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a pastor for several years. He was a proud US Army Veteran where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Donald was a building inspector for the City of Kingsport. He was a member of House of Prayer Church and served as chaplain for the Goshen Valley Volunteer Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his son, Wayne Bombailey Jr.; his parents, one brother and one sister. Donald is survived by his wife, Helen Bombailey; daughter, Tina Cradic (Ralph); grandson, Matthew “My Little Buddy” Cradic (Whitney); brother, Frederick Bombailey; sisters, Linda Ball (Gene) and Mary Bombailey; and special friends, Chris Hartsock and Clifford Bledsoe. Calling hours will be from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Monday, Jan. 1,2017 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh and Rev. Clifford Cole officiating. The burial will follow to Old Union Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 3/265 Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cradic, Dakota Brown, Cody Hodges, Jamie Shelton, Jeffery Barrett and Anthony Cradic. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes may be made in his memory.
