CHURCH HILL – Wanda Wagner, passed away on March 1, 2018 at NHC following a brief illness.

Wanda was a member of North Folk Missionary Baptist Church and served as treasurer for many years. She taught school in Hawkins County for 38 years. She was also a member of North Folk Ruritan were she served as treasurer. Wanda was a member of Hawkins County Retired Teachers and served as secretary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wagner; sons, Gary R. Wagner & Kayle Wagner; brothers, Quentin Dykes & Tommy Dykes; parents, Claude & Rose Dykes.
Wanda is survived by her grandson, Gary W. Wagner, great-granddaughter, Amanda Wagner, daughter-in-law, Evelyn Wagner, sister, Mary Rose Thomisser (Werner), brother, Archie Dykes (Nancy), sister-in-law, Linda Dykes.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Payne officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Highland Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 AM to go in procession.

Pallbearers will be Gary W. Wagner, Jim Dykes, Reed Dykes, Lynn Dykes and David Dykes. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Thomisser, John R. Dykes, & Thomas M. Dykes.
