NORTON/CHURCH HILL – Maudie Ruth Lucas, 79, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Johnson-City Medical Center.

Maudie was a resident of Norton, VA & Church Hill, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Center Freewill Baptist Church. She loved studying her bible & living for God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Bailey & Martha Waddell Bailey; & several brothers & sisters.

Maudie is survived by several brothers & sisters, & special nephew Kevin.

Visitation hours will be from 11:00 – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hill & Rev. Aaron Price officiating. The burial will follow to Church Hill Memory Gardens. Family & friends will be pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2219 Church Hill, TN 37642, to help fund the building of a new church in her memory.
