Samuel Glen Collins

CHURCH HILL – Samuel Glen Collins, 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Samuel was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church & a devoted, loving husband, brother-in-law, uncle, & great uncle.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Collins; parents, Betty & Heiskell Collins.

Samuel is survived by his sisters-in-law, Valdene Connell (Gary) & Donna Webb (Scott); brothers-in-law, David Gray (JoAnn) & Jimmy Gray (Wanda), nieces, Marta Greer, Aimee Hurd, Leigh Ann Connell, Kim Winston, Rebecca Turnage; nephew, Chris Gray; great nieces & nephews, Anna Gray, Kelli Greer, Victoria Simm, Natalie Winston, Kellie Jones, Garriann Turnage, Jacob Greer, John Henry Winston, Carson Kelly Winston, & Harrison Simm; aunt, Lucille Kincheloe; & several special cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at McPheeters Bend Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM. The family will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Samuel’s memory.
