CHURCH HILL – Edna Hartgrove, 88, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her daughter’s residence.

Edna was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was God fearing woman all of her life & was a member of Phipps Bend Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family & taking care of others.

She was preceded by her husband of 58 years, James C. Hartgrove; son, Larry Hartgrove; parents, Samuel & Vival Way; sister, Eula Mae Armstrong; brothers, Burton, Fred, & Frank Way.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Debbie Arnott (Butch); daughter-in-law, Brenda Hartgrove; grandchildren, Tonia Duncan (Steven), LaDawn Manis, Doug Arnott (Liz Goodman), Brandi Albright, Leshey Bell; great grandchildren, Gabriel & Nicholas Williams, Jaden & Peyton Albright, Rave & Linkon Bell, Dillon, Ryle & Keircee Manis, Teona, Erica, Aleighcia, Easton, & Charlee Arnott; sister, Dorothy Odem; several nieces & nephews.

A visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 PM on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Keith Osbourne officiating. The burial will follow to Highland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Williams, Doug Arnott, Rave Bell, Nicholas Williams, Dillon Manis, & Trey Bellamy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Butch Arnott & Carl McPeek.
