Janice L. Simpson

PORTLAND, TN – Janice L. Simpson, 71, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Sumner County.

Janice was from Church Hill, TN but resided in Sumner County in her later years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will always be loved and deeply missed.

She was preceded in death in death by her parents, Jonah and Laura Eller; loving husband, Rev. Gerald Dean Simpson; son, Curtis Simpson; and 4 sisters.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Tina (Rodney Huggins) Simpson Lamb; grandchildren, Monica (Derek Layton) Lamb, Curtis Lamb; great grandchildren, Lincoln Layton, Brayden Layton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. Howard Edwards officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:15 PM.
