Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. CHURCH HILL – Hoyt Lane, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Hoyt was born on September 21, 1964, in Kingsport, TN. How can any words truly describe a wonderful husband, father, & grandfather except by the life he led. His door was always open just as his heart was. Hoyt was a man you could count on, & his word was his bond. He was a help to many throughout his life, asking nothing in return. These words seem so small when we speak of a man who stood so tall. If any would question of what he would speak, just ask his number one & you won’t have to seek. Now let’s not defer from papaw’s precious Baby, stand assure he’ll watch her grow into a Godly lady. This scripture he leaned upon, walked upon, & taught upon: I Corinthians 13:13, “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” Sis wanted to thank her family for their obedience to this scripture. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Margaret Helen Lane. Hoyt is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Lane; precious daughter, Amy Maynor (Ricky Begley); grandchildren, Brianna Maynor, Madison Begley, & Taylor Begley; son at heart, William Maynor; special friends, Ted and Judy Wiggins, whom he considered family; as well as one aunt, 2 uncles, & several nieces, & nephews. |
