My precious little momma Brenda Joan Peters a good and faithful daughter of God, was called home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my Daddy the night of January 21, 2024. Mom was born September 1, 1942 to my Grandparents James Melvin and Julia Alder Johnson in Sneedville, TN. She was a life long resident of Kingsport, and a graduate of Ketron High School Class of 1960. Mom was a dedicated employee of Lowe’s, Mason Dixon Tank Lines, and The Easy Seat Co. where she made many life long friends. She was preceeded in death by her love, and soulmate of almost 50 years, my Daddy, Roger Peters. Her son in Law Allen Castle. Parents James M. & Julia Alder Johnson, and sister Elaine Johnson Watson. She leaves behind her only daughter. 2 Grandaughters Alasyn Castle White and husband Bronson and Stephanie Castle. 2 great grandchildren Davinah Arnold and Jaiden Watts. Her sister Paula D. Morris, Brother J.M Johnson Jr. and wife Barbara, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mom and Dad spent most of my life traveling, and singing gospel music. Some of the groups Mom sang with were The Messenger’s, The Potter’s Clay, and The Miracles. She spent her life in the service of God. The day you left us Momma, the world became darker, but…. the heaven’s, O how I know the Heaven’s lit up with a brilliance no one could fathom when you and Dad saw each other again. The reunion and singing going on right now in Heaven is something I’m sure even the Angels stopped to listen to. One of God’s earthbound Angel’s is home. I Love You more. Morning Time Momma. |
