Julie Mae Higgins

CHURCH HILL – Julie Mae Higgins, 70, gained her wings, and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Julie was born on April 20, 1954, and was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. She was a nurse for many years and cared for countless patients over her career. Julie had a green thumb and loved plants and flowers. She was a wonderful, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, dog mom, and friend. The light she brought to this world will forever be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Della Stuffle; and her son-in-law, Brad Housewright.

Those left to cherish Julie’s memory are her loving husband, Lynn Higgins; children, Joy Williams, and Gale Williams; adopted daughter, Robin White; special granddaughter, Ashley Housewright; granddaughter, Joni Barton; siblings, Sharon Greene (Jeff), Roy Idom, and Lynn Greene (Danny); step children, Jeff and Brandy; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Ruth Higgins; beloved son-in-law, Brady Ferguson; sister-in-law, Carol Ball (Buster); brothers-in-law, David Higgins (Anna), and Michael Higgins (Delena); as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.
