Church Hill, TNBarbara Jeanette Amyx, age 65, of Church Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Holston Valley Hospital following an apparent heart attack. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a homemaker.She is preceded in death by her parents; Elzie Simpson and Isabell Arnold Simpson, brothers; Francis Simpson and Dean Simpson.Survivors include her sons; Lynn Amyx (Stephanie) of Telford, and Glen Amyx (Loretta) of Church Hill, daughter, Sherry Diane Lane (Jeff) of Kingsport, Grandchildren; Brittany Amyx, Anthony Crowder, Kaylee Lane, Andrew Amyx, Abigail Amyx and Steven Lane. Ex-husband; Roy Amyx of Mount Carmel, brother; Titus Simpson (Pam) of Church Hill, sister; Brenda Edwards (Howard) of Castlewood, VA and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home, and anytime at the residence of Roy Amyx, 548 Cedar Street, Mount Carmel, TN.Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Necessary officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Saturday at the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lane, Anthony Crowder, Andrew Amyx, Daniel Ward, Brian Gulley and Junior Arnold.
