CHURCH HILL, TN – Betty Jo Rasnic Compton, 84, passed away peacefully on, Friday, February 16, 2024.
Betty was born in Lee Couty, VA to the late John Rasnic and Lizzie Pannell Rasnic on January 27, 1940.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin B. Compton; beloved daughter, Marvella Faye Compton Cross; and her doting grandson, Michael Christopher Howard. Betty was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Lois Bowen (Junior), Mildred Dishner (Robert), Marcella Evans (Paul); four brothers, Eulice Rasnick (Anna Lee), Audna Jay Rasnic, Billy Ray (Jean) Rasnic; and infant brother, William Thomas Rasnic.
Betty is survived by her loving son, Robert Martin “Marty” Compton and wife, Laura Compton; special granddaughter, Janelle Compton; step grandsons, Joshua Wyant (Ashley) and Jordan Wyant; step granddaughter, Amethyst “Amy” Wyant; as well as two precious great grandsons, Niko Wyant and Alec Wyant; two sisters, Nannie Jones (Glenn), and Janice Jones (Wayne); one brother, Dennis Rasnic; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was loved and will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will follow in procession to Church Hill Memory Gardens.
