I had the pleasure of meeting this precious lady almost 16 years ago. She reminded me although my Mom was in Heaven, she would be another Mom to me here on earth. I latched on to her immediately and could talk to her about anything. She taught me so much about life, plants and gardening - and especially canning. She was the best cook ever, spoiling our son with her wonderful soup beans on many occasions. And oh the best pickled beets recipe ever! We even took a few short road trips.
