Waaaaaay back 22 years ago when we were living in the fort in Knoxville.... Brian Gave me a nickname... he called me “A-ron” and it stuck. Everyone I know from that period in my life calls me A-ron... even the people I grew up with back home in Detroit. Barnette... as we called him... was an incredible force of nature. He wasn’t a man. He was a feeling. An emotion. He exuded a sense of confidence that could calm the rowdiest of beer drinking nights... and at the same time... the party didn’t start until he got there. His laugh His smile His love of music and life and everything around him was intoxicating. Everyone wanted to be around Barnette. I was reminded of something yesterday by a friend... some new concrete was poured on a city sidewalk in Knoxville and like children... we wanted to write something in it.... we chose to write.... “where’s Barnette?” Because that is what everyone wanted to know. We know where to find him now... hope I get to see him again someday. much love and positive vibes directed to his family from the “house of slack”. In knoxville.

Brenda, So Sorry for your loss. The lost of a child is very hard, they will live on in your heart but you will feel as though you have lost everything remember the good times you had together. Diana died 4 years ago and sometimes I still can’t breath, It’s hard to know what a mother goes through unless you walk down those stairs. It’s very few good days in with a whole lot of bad days, so please take care of yourself and remember the good days with Brian. If there is anything we could possibly do for you and Buck please let us know.
