CHURCH HILL – Carolyn Ann Laningham, 71, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness.

Carolyn was born in Kingsport and had lived majority of her life in Church Hill. She was a Member of the McFerrin United Methodist Church in Church Hill.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Laningham , daughter; Melissa Lynn Rogers, parents; John Henry Crawford and Ida Bell Arnold Crawford.

Survivors include her son; Mike Laningham and wife Joy of Erwin, grandchildren; Richard Rogers, Tommy Nelms, Jeremy Robinson and Alex Laningham. She is also survived by a very special lifelong friend who was more like a sister, Judy Haynie and her husband John.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Poore officiating. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday at the McPheeters Bend Cemetery with Jeremy Robinson, Tommy Nelms, Alex Laningham, John Haynie, Chris Marshall, Jason Spears and Darrick Christian serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McFerrin United Methodist Church 117 Mountain View Road Church Hill, TN 37642.
