KINGSPORT – Charles W. Ball, 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019 with his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn Joann Ball at his side.
Charles was born in the Goshen Valley Community & resided to Kingsport. He retired from Smith Mechanical & attended Homeland Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Ball; step-father, Roy Ball; mother & father-in-law, Dewey & Fannie Rasnick; brothers, Ronnie Ball & Elmer Ball; sisters, Betty Joe Garrett & Annie Lee Martin; & son-in-law, Wiley Lee.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn Joann Ball; daughter, Brenda Lee; sons, Danny Ball & Joey Ball; grandchildren, Malinda Wheat & companion Morgan Smith, Candy Rodey & husband Emmett, Tony Wheat & wife Christen, Kacy Blevins, Morgan Ball, Rachel Fowler & husband Roger, Kristina Kelly & husband James; great grandchildren; Kaleb Posey, Zackary Hinkle, Taylor, Brayden and Bryan Barcelona, Christian and Tinsley Wheat, Kayla, Madison, Dylan, Kaylen, Braelyn, Avery, Abby, and Kennedee; sister; Lucille Johnson; brothers, Larry Ball & wife Beth, David Ball & wife Vicki, Fred Ball & companion Teresa; grandson-in-law, Bruce Hinkle, & host of cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.
A visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Brother Terry Browder officiating. The burial will follow to McPheeters Bend Cemetery.
