CHURCH HILL – Charles W. Larkin, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Holston Manor in Kingsport.
Mr. Larkin was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and he retired from the Tennessee Eastman Company on August 1, 1987 with several years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys V. Larkin in 2006, parents; C.W. and Lula Grace Larkin, brothers; Worley, Carl, Clarence, Ray T. and Roy Larkins, sisters; Nola Hazel Larkins, Anna Martha Larkins, Bessie May Jenkins.
Survivors include his children; Larry R. Larkins and wife, Beth of Kingsport, Terry O. Larkins and wife Sue of Kingsport, Jerry Larkins and wife Kim of Fall Branch and Charlotte Ray and husband, Terry of Church Hill. 11 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Mellons officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday, November 13 at the Morning Star Cemetery with Matt Larkins, Jason Larkins, Randy Larkins, Ricky Ray, Jesse Ray and Dustin Larkins serving as pallbearers. Terry Ray will serve as honorary pallbearer. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 AM Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
