CHURCH HILL – Clarence Huckaby, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday (March 29, 2017) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.Clarence was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a faithful member of State Line Baptist Church. He had most recently attended Gracepoint Fellowship. He was a retired employee of AFG Industries with 42 years of service. He was an avid fan of the UT VOL’S and Atlanta Braves. Clarence was a veteran of the US Army having proudly served during the Korean conflict.He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Verna Alley Huckaby; sister, Elizabeth Christian; brothers, Jimmy, Tommy and Earl Huckaby.He is survived by his faithful wife of 36 years, Blanche Huckaby; daughters, Reda Rowell and husband, Kelly, Kathy Johnson and husband, Don; and Karen Huckaby; step-daughters, Pam Byington and husband, Randy; Barbara Greear and husband, Hank; step-son, Greg Cates; grandchildren, Travis Johnson, Dustin Alley and wife, Sarah, Matt Byington and wife, Lindsay, Megan Byington and Phillip Cates; great grandchildren, Evan, Ethan and Katelyn Alley; McKynleigh and Ryleigh Byington; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence and also at the residence of his daughter, Kathy Johnson.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
