CHURCH HILL – Edith D. Ketron, 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.
Edith was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was a nurse at Holston Valley Medical Center for 30 plus years and retired in 1990. She was the oldest member of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Burgess “BC” & Virgie Ford Davidson, brothers, Herbert, John A., Paul, Burgess, Everette Ray, & Dwyatt Davidson and sister, Alberta Snapp.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Wanda Rhoton, sisters, Shelby Begley, & Mary Frances (Bunny) Larkins along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Friday, April 13 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Cassidy officiating. The burial will follow to Valley View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edith’s memory to Valley View Cemetery Fund to the care of Shelby Begley 3717 Carters Valley Road Church Hill, TN 37642.
