Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Elizabeth. She was such a sweet and loving lady with a kind spirit. She will truly be missed. We will treasure sweet memories of her always. Zion Church. And having those gracious memories of Mrs. Elizabeth, our mom Mrs. Minnie Cox, Mrs. Katie Brice, Mrs. Marilyn Underwood and more Godly women serving Holy Communion in their white attire, and white laced head pieces, along with the Pastor of the church in their white robes. They shared a great love for God and His word, and a great bond of friendship. Sorry I could not be there in person, but I am there in spirit. I have known this family all my life and Chris's mom was my dearest friend. Aunt Pye as Chris called her was a beautiful lady. With everlasting thoughts and rememberance of a Lady that i already miss her presence of knowing that she is no longer with us. But Jesus said, "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. " No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived.What God has prepared for those who love him. and Elizabeth did love him. Gary - Charlotte and Family Just wanted to send you a note to let you know that the family of Ed Lee Harvey would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family.....When my husband Ed Lee was living he would call and talk to Elizabeth. He called her (PiJo). After he passed in 2016 I continued to send her Christmas cards and would call her on occasion and she would tell me stories about Ed Lee and the rest of the group who grew up together - Willie Maude - Clifford Allison - Frank Allison - Elaine - Melba - Stacey - Arthur (Sweets)... When we all met up in 1978 in Nashville it was the first time I had met all of them and we all had gone to visit Joe Lewis on the farm. Ms. Elizabeth was a lady full of love for family and community, grace and a true Christian. I am blessed to have known her and she will be missed. Words cannot describe her kind heart, and uplifting spirits, always showing her love for God through her daily walk through life. Always a kind word or deed was a part of here everyday ritual with everyone. Whenever I felt the trials or tribulations life bestows, I could always talk to Mrs. Elizabeth, and consoling words of comfort were given. She will be truly missed in word and deed. Her love for God, life and people was truly exhibited in her walk, talk and interaction with everyone. May God strengthen the family as they endure this time of grievance, remembering God will never leave you nor forsake you.

My Childhood Memories of Mrs. Elizabeth Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell was always a classy lady with a spunky edge. She extended kindness and love to everyone she knew including children: as a matter of fact, my siblings and I loved to visit along with my mother, Neva Price Lyons, who was her best friend for years. She would always make the best tiered cakes from scratch, and made sure when we visited that we got our fill. Mama and Mrs. Elizabeth would sit at the kitchen table and laugh until tears rolled down their cheeks. One unfortunate evening, in New Canton, at 4 years old I swallowed a key and after the initial emergency room visit, she would take Mama and me to my follow up visits (she was one of few women who knew how to drive in those days, late 50's to early 60's). Gary ,Charlsotte and the rest of the family,you have my deepest condolences during the passing of my dear friend Ms. Elizabeth. She will truly be missed but I will have the fawn memories of our times going to the doctor and a few other places. I'm sorry I wont be their to say good by to my friend, as I will be traveling out of town. You all will be in my thoughts and prayer as I take this journey. Dearest family, prayers of comfort coming to you with all of my love. Mrs. Elizabeth as well as Mr. Vincent were a blessing to my family and the New Canton community. When we came to visit, Ms. Elizabeth and Mr. Vincent, always opened their home to my mom and I so that we can stay with them. I have fond memories of our time together and I will cherish the memories until God comes back for me. Down through the years our families have grown up together, gone through trials and tribulations and has enjoyed each others happiness. New Canton has lost a wonderful mother of the community and she will be greatly missed. It will be hard to think of New Canton and not think of Ms. Elizbeth and Mr. Vincent being there to greet us coming home.
